Control over your own medical personal data
Do you let the control of your own data work for you or against you? Or does it inspire you to take control of the data flows yourself.
The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) offers individuals the opportunity to control their own data. The Supplementary Provisions for the Processing of Personal Data in Healthcare Act (Wabvpz) supplements this right for a person in his or her role as a patient, client or resident of care, with control over their own medical data. The patient/client can take control of his or her care if a generally accepted data model and a system of agreements are used in the healthcare sector by healthcare providers and their suppliers. MedMij fulfills this precondition for the healthcare sector.
What is our involvement?
We follow the developments of MedMij. The general acceptance of the Personal Health Environment, PHE, has consequences for advising companies in the healthcare sector.
