National government

The state carries out statutory tasks at the national level. The national government consists of all ministries, executive agencies that fall under the responsibility of the ministries, independent administrative bodies and High Councils of State.

Since 1998, we have been advising ministries and their executive agencies on governance, compliance and accountability. The main focus points of our advice are data protection, privacy, information security and cyber risks.

The national government has an accountability obligation according to the GDPR. This means, among other things, that all ministries and executive agencies must be able to demonstrate which technical and organizational measures they have taken to protect personal data and the extent to which these are effective.

We specialize in providing guidance to ministries and executive agencies. We do so by means of our accountability review (link to accountability review). This review creates an account that the minister or director-general of an executive agency can present in order to show the extent to which the organization meets the requirements of the relevant laws and regulations.
